ROSENGARTEN_joanna_bio_1306Joanna Rosengarten is counsel in our Environmental Group where she advises clients on regulatory compliance with existing and proposed environmental legislation, environmental permitting issues, federal and provincial environmental assessments, and the rehabilitation and redevelopment of contaminated sites. Joanna is involved in corporate transactions and projects involving environmental issues, including conducting and coordinating due diligence audits, and negotiating and drafting contracts on environmental matters. She also assists clients with greenhouse gas reporting compliance, and negotiates and drafts emissions trading agreements. She is a former adjunct professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto where she taught a class on environmental law. Joanna was ranked as a ‘Lawyer to Watch’ in environment law in a recent edition of Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business, and she is listed in the current edition of Best Lawyers in Canada for environmental law.
